Bee Creative Studio has become well known for
pictorial appliqué quilt patterns in addition to
other designs which often put a spin on the
traditional. I have been fortunate to work with
quilt shops in all 50 states, Canada, and a
growing number of shops overseas. So chances
are, wherever you go you’ll see one of our
designs.
Most days are spent working in the studio
creating new quilts, patterns or designing a new
collection of fabric. If I’m not at the drafting
table or sewing machine then I am probably at
the computer answering emails or writing quilt
instructions. In addition to my daily Bee
Creative responsibilities, I also try and find
time to create mixed media artwork. In 2004 I
won the Fairfield Master Award for Contemporary
Artistry at the International Quilt Show in
Houston, TX. To see some of my mixed media art

In addition to quilt patterns, I design for
Andover Fabrics of NYC. Andover has been a
great partner, allowing me to create fabric
collections that reflect my artistic spirit.
Andover’s commitment to providing the highest
fabric quality has made the partnership a
success. Another successful venture with Andover
is our block of the month program called the
Honey Bee Club. Each year I create a custom
quilt design along with a coordinating
collection of fabric.
There’s just no way I can do it all so let me
introduce you to the wonderful people who help
me everyday and on special occasions. Without
all their help and opinions I wouldn’t be where
I am today.
My husband Paul is quick to offer a helping hand
in many aspects of the business, often helping
with inventory and order fulfillment. Paul is a
great sounding board for my design ideas and his
encouragement and support are so integral to the
success of Bee Creative Studio.
Mary Wieser:
Mary works in the studio to pull and pack orders
and keep the inventory caught up in the
warehouse. Mary is also a skilled quilter and
sews, machine quilts and machine appliqués here
in the studio.
Toni Foster:
Toni has recently joined the team and takes care
of most of the office and administrative tasks.
Toni is an award wining quilter in her own right
and will also be sewing on some of our future
projects.
The Davis Family:
My mother, Linda, father, John and sister,
Peggy, all come out from time to time to help in
preparations for quilt market. Mom and Peggy
will help to sew samples or collate the newest
pattern. Dad has made the shipping crate,
display stands and other accessories for our
booth. He also collates the fastest in the
family; it takes two of us bagging to keep up
with him. Dad also built all of my studio
furniture, including drawer units specially
built to hold fat quarters and a thread cabinet
to hold my many spools of thread.
The studio is also shared with my two cats,
Simon and Alex who have even starred in a couple
of my quilt designs.
